Cleaning, breakfast and stay was memorable, pool area not sufficient for guest.

What could be improved: Contact by landline to housekeeping or reception so poor. No body picking fast.

good hotel for the price i paid, location is quiet and peaceful

Nice hotel, still feels like a new building. its in the gold souk area which all looks new, not busy. its 5 min walk from the actual gold souk. the gold souk metro is under the mercure hotel behind this building, 1 min walk. good comfy bed, nice decor, easy place to find for taxis and food delivery, i got a good deal on this booking. has a pool and nice gym with a nice view.

What could be improved: - No toothbrush in the room, i had to ask housekeeping. even basic 3 star hotels have basic amenities in the room.
- the hotel restaurant is heavily promoed throughout, i went on thursday and was told the buffet has been cancelled.
- i requested a 5am wake up call, i woke up from my own alarm and came down by 6am to checkout, no wake up call, if you have a early morning flight, i would not depend on the hotel
- fridge in my room was not working, i had to pull the fridge out and found it was switched off, i had to turn it on myself
- the room had clearly not been occupied for a while, the shower and taps had brown water when i first opened them. this also tells me the room was not cleaned properly before i moved in, housekeeping would have had to use the shower to clean the bath tub minimum

Very well located for metro,souk,inexpensive restaurants,shopping(apart from expensive designer stuff),staff are lovely and helpful.i arrived early as my flight was early,and I just wanted to leave my bags until check in time,but they gave me my room early without me asking.i will always stay here when in Dubai,I was also there in March.the rooftop pool is lovely in daytime but at nighttime is lovely for a relaxing drink and view over the city

I had a very pleasant stay at Novotel Deira District. The room was spacious, with high-quality furniture and modern decor. The bathroom was also spacious and up-to-date. Our request for a walk-in shower was fully respected and taken care of. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

What could be improved: I was disappointed to find that there was no notepad or pen on the desk, which would have been helpful for taking quick notes. Also, the fridge was not cooling properly and seemed to work at room temperature, which is not ideal — especially in this hot season — for storing items like ice cream or keeping creams well chilled.
