I recently had the displeasure of staying at **[Hotel Name]**, and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever encountered. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about this place.
Let’s start with the hotel management— They will not let you in until you pay a deposit of 3000 derhm + 3.5% fees none refundable. I was not aware about it and never had such request. They let me stay hours outside in hot weather asking me to talk to booking and booking mentioned it is in the website (hidden) we requested to cancel but the refused. I had to pay this deposit through a link shared by whats up which i feel it is not safe. I had no choice
Now 2 weeks and I haven’t receive my deposit and not sure what will happen
Another issue is the parking which they give wrong lot number and when i asked they told me use visitor parking (full)
Do yourself a favor and **look elsewhere**—this place is not worth your time or money.

Relaxing week in fabulous sea view modern apartment
Location is awesome, fabulous furniture and awesome view. 10/10 for location. Right on a private beach with view of West beach. Great facilities ie pool and gym.

A Stressful nightmare!
What could be improved: Falsely advertised apartments! Firstly, the air conditioner system was not working so the apartment was extremely hot in temperature which unfortunately gave my family and I a sleepless stressful night in 30 degrees. The apartment was also extremely dirty. There were bags of rubbish and used towels left there from the previous tenants. Bugs were crawling all over the apartment, kitchen and bedroom cabinets. One bedroom had a window that could not close at all, so it was permanently open. One bedroom had a chest of drawers, where the drawers would fall out and off onto the floor when it was opened. One drawer fell onto my foot when I opened it which caused me extreme pain, it was completely broken and dangerous! The kitchen cabinet doors were falling off the hinges, the bed heads and curtains were full of thick dust, my family and I suffer from hay fever so we were sneezing and had all sorts of hay fever symptoms the entire time. The air conditioner vents had a thick layer of dust. The toilets were stained yellow and there was plenty of mould in the bathrooms. The solo toilet door could not close at all due to being built incorrectly, so if you pulled the door forcefully shut, you would be jammed and stuck in there. That toilet was deemed unusable. The TV had several remotes to which non of them worked so we had no satellite channels working at all. We went to walk down to use the pool which was also advertised as part of this booking to which we were refused by the pool security as we did not have an access pass to show that we are staying at the Oceana Residences The Palm Mint Stay, the security told us that the manager or host should have provided this. I tried calling and asking the host and manager named Mohamed, to which we were never provided any sort of access pass to use the pool facilities. Tried calling to complain to ask for some sort of compensation to which we got no assistance and the manager ignored our calls and ignored all the photo evidence.
Amazing holiday but apartment is in need of some renovation and better guest services to inform check in ahead of arriva
Location was amazing and the on-site facilities were great. Beds were very comfortable, big living room and dining area with great views of the palm.
What could be improved: Apartment needs some renovation, main bathroom is very tired, kitchen had no welcome pack or washing up products and the fridge smelt mouldy., balcony had a great view but the area needed cleaning and in desperate need of new furniture. We were arriving early which was confirmed ahead of time, we knew we could not check in until 3pm but we’re told we could use the pool, this proved difficult and were held in security area for some time until day passes were kindly provided by a member of management. The apartment was still not ready until after 3pm checkin, after travelling through the night we ended up entering the room with the cleaners cleaning around us. There was no guest passes made available until Monday so had to get security clearance for first two days which was more difficult entering the building later in the day, the security number provided to access the apartment keys was incorrect and it was overall very stressful first few days.
Oceana Residences - apartment no hotel services
Location was handy, could walk to Nakheel Mall. The whole building felt safe, rooms and living area large and spacious. Water pressure good and most of the apartment was very clean. Access to The Duke hotel pool and beach area. The view is spectacular!
What could be improved: This is like an airbnb, with shared pool and beach with another hotel. The key lock is located at the door to the apartment on the 9th floor, but on arrival, we had no way of getting into the actual building. It was 2am, and we ran around trying to find a security guard in the car park to let us in. It was also not clear in the booking that this apartment is completely UNserviced. So NO cleaning or housekeeping was done for the 5 nights of our stay, we ran out of toilet paper, body wash, and soap pretty much the first night. Not the things you want to deal with on your holiday. The laundry area is dirty, and the kitchen has a terrible smell under the sink. Renovations on our floor during our stay, which is never ideal, and the inroom safe was small and double-sided, taped down to a cupboard so not secure at all.
